Our Partnerships

We have been working in partnership with Bournemouth University for a few years now on their annual ‘The Big Give’ campaign. Every year our Prama Charity Shop team supply the university with a number of our purple donation bins which are placed around the BU campus. Students who are leaving for the summer are then able to donate any of their unwanted items into the bins provided. This not only saves hundreds of items ending up in landfill, but also goes towards supporting a local charity. All the collections are returned to our Prama donation centre, are sorted, and are then distributed out to our 12 charity shops for re-sale.

As part of the campaign, the University also deliver collection bags to students living around the Talbot Village and Winton areas so they are able put any items in these bags ready for our Prama team to collect .straight from their door.

As a charity we have been working with World of Books since March 2025. We get 1000’s of books donated each month, but unfortunately due to limited space in our shops we are unable to display and sell them all.

Working in partnership with World of Books enables us to streamline our book donations, whilst at the same time generating additional revenue for our charity. In the last 3 months we have scanned and submitted 5,000 items to the World of Books team through our customer portal, which has generated over £3,000 in additional income for Prama.
